Birthday Weekend Celebration

This past weekend was my birthday as many of you know, and I managed to snap a few photos during the "festivities".  I went shopping, good-food eating, movie watching, and other fun activitying.  The best part though, was that I was able to do ALL of that with the extra special presence of two people.  Both people had to fly, literally, thousands of miles to California, and both are also two people who contributed greatly to who I am today.  Thank you Dad and Christina, my girlfriend.

The two of you flew over the Pacific and the United States, respectively, to celebrate my birthday with me, and I cannot thank you two enough for putting in that effort.  Dad, especially you.  You fly overseas many times throughout the year just to make sure our family is alright and that everything is okay.  You're the best dad and I couldn't be happier to say that you are MY dad.  Thank you to all those who wished me a happy birthday, and thank you Mom, Jonathan (my brother) and his girlfriend Sylvia for celebrating my birthday with me as well.   Definitely one of the most special birthdays I've ever had, if not the most.

Quack Away With Kirby and Yoshi

Recently I decided to go out around noon and try to shoot some pictures in this difficult lighting.  Many say not to shoot at this time, but I ask why not?  Things may not look as good, but who knows when great moments may occur for that perfect snapshot right?  Keeping this in mind, I wandered around a local park taking pictures of the wildlife and scenery, and soon after traveled to my brother's house and found two of my favorite Japanese characters waiting for a photoshoot.

Light At Night

Light at night.  Something only a few photographers go in search of.  When I say a few, I actually mean some figure in the thousands if not hundreds of thousands, but you get what I mean.  Last night I decided to go be one of those "few" photographers and see what the night lights held in store for me.  I found myself going down to the intersection of De Anza Blvd and Stevens Creek for a water spectacular and some traffic light wonders.  Let me know what you think!

A Secret Garden

But not really.  I decided to go out today, play around with my 50mm 1.4, and see what kind of images I could create.  I walked around my house and took a few shots of flowers, some random stuff, and then drove over to Stanford later in the afternoon to capture some more flowers and nature in general.  Sadly, in the process of snapping these pictures, I was given a ticket for parking literally 3 minutes too long in my metered parking spot. Lame.  Anyways, here are the pictures! The bluish looking flower pictures are actually straight from the camera with no photoshop.  Really pretty colors!
