Oakland Food Festival @ Jack London Square

Today I went to yet ANOTHER food festival to try out some more delicious food.  Not only was this festival larger in size with more restaurants serving thousands, but the prices were also MUCH cheaper (at least what I bought).  Many of the items at the SF food festival were roughly $8 for the main entrĂ©e, but here in Oakland the main entrees were $5, which was great news for my wallet.  Anyways, I shot many photos here and would like to share my exciting experience at the 2010 Oakland Food Festival.  Hopefully I'll win another $50 gift card! Enjoy and try not to get too hungry ;]

The festival was held along a port leading to the SF Bay

Freshly brewed coffee one could smell from across the bay. Hello pug.

I forget the name of this food and I didn't try it, but it looked delicious

Simply the best Garlic Noodles ever.

World Peace. Even little children are talking about it.

Food Frenzy

Today, a group of friends and I traveled up to San Francisco for a Food Festival where upwards of up to 40 or so restaurants set up booths to sell/ sample their products.  My oh my was there some delicious food there.  We were able to spend roughly $30 a person and enjoy some of the best food in San Francisco.  We marched around searching for various types of edibles and waited in lines similar to those at Six Flags (maybe not THAT long but they were long enough).  At the end of the day, not only were we happy but so were our stomachs.  Good times in sunny San Francisco :]

Chili Dog

Chili.  One of, if not the closest, dogs to my heart.  This dog has been there for many of my tough times and has always kept me company when I was lonely.  She has brought much happiness into many people's lives, especially into her current and my family's.  Throughout college I always thought of her when I saw other dogs and when I came home for breaks, her house would be my first stop every time.

Unfortunately, when I came home after graduation, I learned that she has four tumors growing inside of her, and because she is old now (12 year's old) surgery would be difficult and would only temporarily decrease the tumor sizes.  She's holding on as long as she can, fighting through everyday with the same goal in mind: pleasing her family and friends.  With that being said, I truly believe dogs are one of the strongest and most loyal animals we know.  They rarely show weakness and will never leave your side, that is unless they see another dog across the field.

So without further ado, Chili Dog.
